Geometric Series
Recently, I started making my own tiles and experimenting with different ceramic surface techniques such as marbling, mishimi, making my own stamps to create different textures as well as playing with mason stains. I would find myself playing with these tiles and creating all kinds of different geometric, symmetrical patterns and pairing them with the vitreous glass tiles and little treasures I had. Arranging tiles into patterns is surprisingly meditative and satisfying, especially when you stumble upon a great color combination or textures and patterns that are different yet compliment each other so well.
